BIKO team & philosophy

Once upon a time there where only city bike and walking tours in the center of Prague, then we founded BIKO!

We are a bunch of mountain bike & outdoor lovers and we can’t wait to show you around our beautiful country!

We aren’t the biggest or oldest company in Prague. We are a small company made of people who make a living doing what they love. We want to be the best company and it’s easier to try to be the best small company than the best big company. That is why our motto is: SMALL IS THE NEW BIG!

On the other hand we are trying to estabilish a business that was not existing before in Prague and we are constantly learning.  That’s why we appreciate any suggestion or critic. In fact, BIKO it is already the product of 2 years of careful listening to our customers feedbacks. See you soon!

Where is BIKO shop?

We are located in the basement of a shop called Tribo so you will not find a big sign BIKO. It is a Tattoo shop but don’t worry, we will not push you to get a tattoo! The reason for this solution is that we don’t really need a shop, just a nice meeting point. Our true office, the one where we spend most of the time, it is the nature (and it is for free so, as we are still a start up,instead of paying an expensive monthly rent we have more money to invest in better quality bikes).

The road to Karlstejn Classic – A charming & relaxing way to get to the best Czech castle

Easy – Km: 35 approx./Diff. in altitude: 40 mt/Hours: 6-7 approx.

There is nothing better than to leave Prague’s suburbs behind, go along rivers in which we can jump into in case of very hot weather, cross little villages, drink cheap fresh beer, cycle on cycling path full of flowers  and then see the castle appearing in front of you in all its magnificence. A tour to the best MTB flow circuit in central Europe. Normally we do only mountain bike tours in and around Prague but we made an exception for Singltrek pod Smrkem.  2 hours driving from Prague on a comfortable van are a reasonable fee to pay because you will ride in one of the 7 world’s model MTB destinations. Our ROAD BIKING tours

“Road biking to Karlstejn” – A road bike tour to the famous Karlstejn Castle

Km: approx. from 60 to 100 /Hours: approx. from 4,5 to 6,5

We will enjoy going up and down the Czech hills. We will go through many typical Czech villages where you will feel like nothing has changed in the last 50 years. We will stop for a coffee or something to eat in one of the rural Czech pubs on the way.  And of course, you will see the most famous castle in the CR, Karlstejn. More info...

Our Standard and High Level bike rental

The high level bikes we rent have a value between 30.000 and 50.000 CZK with top components. Standard bikes are still better bikes than those you can find in a normal average rental with a value around 15.000 CZK, but not suitable for too technical and demanding rides. More info…
