Tour description: Karlstejn castle by night…by bike!

An unforgettable ride to the famous Karlstejn castle under the moonlight  following the Vltava and Berounka riverbanks. Once there we’ll enjoy a fresh beer admiring the majestic silhouette before we get the first morning train to Prague. A very exciting and unconventional experience for everybody that will surely be among  your best travel memories.

Level: easy – for everybody. Flat path without any uphill.

The minimum of riders for the tour to take place is 10. The tour can be cancelled in case of bad weather.

What is included in the price: The basic price includes the guide, the return train ticket Karlstejn-Prague and a beer or soft drink.

What is not included in the price: Water, food and extras not mentioned above.

Bike rental: If you don’t have your own bike, we can offer you 2 different rental price options:  a standard bike rental or a high level bike rental. More info about the bikes…

Logistic: Meeting point is our office in Lidicka 8, 15000 Andel, Praha 5. We are based in a shop called Tribo. The tour will end in the same place.. The departure is  at 10:00 p.m. We will take the train back from Karlstejn at 4.04 a.m and we’ll be back to Andel around 5 a.m.

Cycling path along Vltava riverbank:

After leaving the centre of Prague, we will cycle along the Vltava River. We will see how the Czechs make up for the lack of the sea using the river. We will pass through small and medium sized towns as well as crossing bridges and parks.

Cycling path along Berounka riverbank:

We will leave Vltava river to join the cycling path along the Berounka river, much smaller and equally charming. The banks of river Berounka  are perfect places to host several cottages and green areas where the Czechs from the capital like to take refuge at the weekend. We might as well join them bathing in the clean and refreshing water of the river. Since this is a classic route for locals along the way we’ll find numerous pubs and refreshing areas of all kinds.

Karlstejn:

The cycling path along the Berounka river will bring us straight at the doors of the imposing castle of Karlstejn, built by the great monarch Charles IV to protect the crown jewels, the state archives and library from the fury of the Hussites. Here we will enjoy a fresh beer admiring the majestic silhouette before we get the first morning train to Prague.
