Bike and outdoor guide, booking and promotion
As a young girl from a north-western region in Germany called “Münsterland” there was one thing in my life I had to do and that was to love horses. So my first steps in outdoor sports were Sunday-morning horseback rides with my mum which we practiced for more than 10 years – no matter if it was raining, snowing or 10 degrees below zero. Some years later I discovered my passion for running.
Since I moved to a town in a more mountainous region of Germany I started to see cycling not only as the best way to travel from A to B but also as a perfect way to spend some time outside, doing sports and having a great time with your friends. From these years on I spent all my holidays in the outdoors, mostly biking but also canoeing or hiking.
Most of those holidays took place in Germany or Europe, as I think that we should at first discover our near surroundings and then the rest of the world. Anyway… as I am pretty curious and love traveling I already visited some places further away, like Chile, where I spent one school year abroad and Myanmar, where I worked as a teacher in a monastery school for one and a half months.
Today I know that I feel most comfortable in any kind of sports dress – be it my bike wear, running shoes or climbing harness.
To my mind there are only few things comparable to the feeling when you drink the first zip of cold beer after a great day with friends in the beautiful nature. Additionally, as a student in International Tourism Management I think that traveling is the best way to stay curious and open-minded into old age. If you would like to combine these two experiences… Welcome at BIKO.
